Push press, 1 rep

We’re working up to a heavy single in the push press. If you arch your back and make the push press a “standing incline bench press,” the rep does not count. Tight cores are mandatory.

If you have time between the push press and the couplet below, strip off enough weight so you can perform 2-3 sets of 8-10 reps of strict shoulder press, with the last rep being very challenging. Tight cores mandatory here also: lock the ribs down and allow no movement during the lift.

Box jumps

Overhead lunges (45/25)

The lunges are 21-15-9 reps per leg (42-30-18 total reps).
