Deadlift, 5 reps

Back squats 8-8

Extra core work to be assigned by coach.

This is a heavy/max set of 5 deadlifts where we’ll try to improve on last week’s form and load. Your coach will pick your weight based on form. Follow the deadlifts up with two quick but challenging sets of squats.

Remember: new records are awesome but only if the form is good. If your core strength needs work, recognize that and spend extra time on the assistance exercises. Investing in your core pays dividends when you get back on the bar.
