Press 3

You’re going to work up to a heavy triple on both lifts. The goal is not one heavy single “by accident.”

Choose your attempts carefully in consultation with your coach. On the deadlift, you’re done if you fail on any rep or if you PR by more than 20 lb. On the press, you’re done if you arch your back and perform a “standing incline press.”
