[/caption] It’s too late for many words tonight. Long story short, it was great to see our team in a tight race on Event 4, and while we fell just short of several rivals by just a few seconds, being in the mix was fantastic, and taking fifth was awesome. Brett and Lindsey stepped up big time in Event 5, doing the workout faster than before to give us seventh. Brett gripped and ripped for unbroken sets on all rounds, and Lindsey did a great job batting clean-up. Overall, we’re in sixth with 29 points, and we’re hoping to make up a bit of ground tomorrow. Tyson treated us to 23 minutes of holding our breaths as he pulled out to a big lead in Event 4 and held off all rivals for the win. Taking first made up some ground on overall leader Lucas Parker and put some ground between those chasing Tyson. Three pics tell the story better than I can after a nervous day. Big thanks go to Dan, who kept it light all day and helped everyone stay calm and relaxed. A team football toss before Tyson’s first event was much needed, even if Dan’s ice-bath apparel was somewhat ill chosen after the event. Ask him about it. And salutes go out to Alicia Connors and Emily Beers, both of whom withdrew due to injuries. I have a lot of respect for both athletes, and it’s tough to see them on the sidelines. Hopefully they’ll be back to competition shape shortly. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. Time to see who gets to go to California!
